Never doubted Erich Segal’s talent in writing a ‘Love Story’ . Well this particular story it seems, is extremely well written. Romanticism as it´s best.
While reading such kind of novels, you can feel the vicarious thrill of experiencing a tragic and dramatic situation, a character is going through. You can go deeper, empathize with him/her and derive sadistic pleasure out of it. It really feels good!
It is definitely worth a read. Moreover, Erich Segal is one of those people who set these stereotypes, we see moving on the silver screen. No wonder, this story is adapted as a Hindi movie called ‘Masoom’. Hindi cinema is simply fond of such stories.
Filmy very filmy, but the bottomline remains the same- It was an enjoyable reading experience.
